Hi Anderson,

I can't comment on the static binary, I've never tried it.

However, I find that the latest TeXmacs builds available at
http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Aslowphil%3Atexmacs-devel&package=texmacs
show your file correctly (tested on ubuntu mate 16.04) and these should be
nearly identical to your local build. I'd be very surprised if it were a
problem with Cinnamon. Maybe it's a problem in your ~/.TeXmacs folder?
