your problem seems to be the wellknown guile-1.8 with ubuntu which has guile-2.0. I don't remenber where I got the latest texmacs from but it's certainly in the list ?

Sorry for not helping you so much, but each time I installed texmacs I got the problem and search for this problem, there are so many answers around googling.

Dependencies requested are: font-stix, font-texgyre and guile-1.8. But I
see guile 2.0 installed, and font-stix, font-texgyre are available but
impossible to install.
