you could  try to remove the

/home/eherbert/.TeXmacs

directory, unless you have manually put important files there.

I'm using texmacs on debian 9 on several computers. I'm facing a 'segmentation fault' trouble using only one of them. I use the last texmacs version available to download and an up to date debian.

It may be related to the fact that I was using, for some time, a centos repository (that includes guile 1.8) to install texmacs that stopped working last week. However, everything from this old construction was removed and a fresh install was made, based on the last version of the software.

So, here is the problem ! After unziping and export path-ing, the attempts to start texmacs from the command line give :
