Dear all,

It seems to me that a general paradigm of "reducing the nesting level" is something like transforming

(op|...|body|...)

something_more

into

(op|...|...)

body

something_more

This seems to be useful.

For the moment, we can cut body, then input Meta+Alt+Del to exit the innermost tag, then paste.

By the way, could we implement the structural cursor movement on the toolbar? Since these are not very frequently used and it is very easily forgotten for an occasional typer.

Best wishes,

Also, in LyX, you can easily change the nesting level of items in a list using tab and shift tab.
This does not seem complicated, but again one would first try to think if it is a useful and consistent feature and how exactly it should operate.

Having this feature would be useful in my opinion too. Lists have the purpose of organization of thoughts, and one could change his mind on the best organization - so wish to make a given item a subitem of something else, or to make out of a subitem an item on its own.
