Hi,

obs-studio in snap is extremely buggy on my laptop (I am running Debian). I am now using GStreamer command "gst-launch-1.0 ximagesrc" to capture the window. The only disadvantage is that the interfaces are shown.

The way I see is having an independent window which only shows the document part around the cursor, and then I can move it to an external screen. Another way is that TeXmacs runs as a VNC server, and I connect by a VNC client shown on the external screen.

Sure, there are indeed several applications that allow you to share screens
or windows.  In the 'View' menu of TeXmacs, you can hide any parts of
the interface that you do not wish to see.  You may also switch to
presentation mode.
