Hello: I could not find a package for ubuntu noble, and the one for the previous ubuntu version, mantic, did not work. I had no previous experience tinkering with debian packages, but it turned out to be very simple. I unpacked the deb package for mantic, and in the DEBIAN/control file, I replaced Depends: libc6 (>= 2.38), libcrypt1 (>= 1:4.1.0), libfreetype6 (>= 2.4.8), libgcc-s1 (>=3.0), libgmp10 (>= 2:6.3.0+dfsg), libltdl7 (>= 2.4.7), libpng16-16 (>= 1.6.2-1),libqt5core5a (>= 5.15.1), libqt5gui5 (>= 5.4.0) | libqt5gui5-gles (>= 5.4.0),libqt5printsupport5 (>= 5.0.2), libqt5svg5 (>= 5.6.0~beta), libqt5widgets5 (>=5.11.0~rc1), libstdc++6 (>= 13.1), zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4), ghostscript, mlocate | slocate | locate | findutils (<< 4.2.31-2), fonts-stix, fonts-texgyre by Depends: libc6 (>= 2.38), libcrypt1 (>= 1:4.1.0), libfreetype6 (>= 2.4.8), libgcc-s1 (>=3.0), libgmp10 (>= 2:6.3.0+dfsg), libltdl7 (>= 2.4.7), libpng16-16 (>= 1.6.2-1),libqt5core5a (>= 5.15.1), libqt5gui5 (>= 5.4.0) | libqt5gui5-gles (>= 5.4.0),libqt5printsupport5 (>= 5.0.2), libqt5svg5 (>= 5.6.0~beta), libqt5widgets5 (>=5.11.0~rc1), libstdc++6 (>= 13.1), zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4), ghostscript, mlocate | plocate | slocate | locate | findutils (<< 4.2.31-2), fonts-stix, fonts-texgyre Since ubuntu noble does includes none of locate, slocate or mlocate, but instead plocate. I recompiled the package and it worked, so I wanted to share the experience. Simply unpacking the software and creating a simlink did not get the correct keyboard layout, but the installation from the deb package did. Thanks for the great software. Regards |
