Hi There,
I'm running texmacs on MacOS 10.2, and everything works fine except for the ghostscript hang-up (not a great problem, I'm sure future versions will get rid of this bug) and the keyboard mapping for alt, meta, etc.. Anybody have any luck with a method for re-mapping the keys to be compatible with a Mac keyboard?

Thanks!

Ok if you look to a previous discussion David gave us the key to remap....
I did remap on my ibook and it is now working.....
THe problem is that remapping is not portable in the sense that depends on you keyboard....
just to give you some hint that you can use to remap your keybord....
I suppose that the 4 important keymod are Control Alt Meta Hyper...
Now you have to choose what key correspond to what...
How to do it?
run xmodmap
you shoul have an output that tells you what are your actual settings...
then you run xev and figure which keys are bound with each modifier....
infact you can read in the terminal from which you launched xev what is the symobl linked to your key....
Then you can change them.... and to do it the best thing is reading "man xmodmap" and figuring out how it works....
Then arrives texmacs.....
not all the coherent settings will work with him but you should find one that works for you with some trial error...here David is the one who helped me
Once you understand how it works.... it is just a matter of tr
ials....
then once found the correct setting you put everything in your .xinitrc.... before exec yourwindowmanager to have it permanent.....
Hope it is clear....
just figure how to use xmodmap and xev and read man xmodmap and if you want to go more in deep man X in the keyboard section.
One thing I also would like to know is if there is a way to change keycodes.. as in my ibook there are plenty of keys that share the same.... for example the two alt keys share the same number and so have to perform the same task....
If you want I can send you my configuration.... but I'm sure it won't fit with your probably.
