Thank you, I never understood what the 'paper' mode was, now that you told me
I
find it really useful. It will reduce for me the need to create a pdf.
But the point about background jobs is still there: it may be for printing
instead than for preparing a pdf. You may be interested for instance in
printing a version for somebody else and still be working on the document.
Opening an other texmacs for printing and having a script to automate the
process is an idea. I guess texmacs may also be called in the background
without opening a new window, isn't it so? I would write the script if I was
able to.
