Hello,

I wrote a plugin to integrate the LaTeX extension Tablor.sty. This extension is
especially for (french ?) math teachers and allow the creation of sign and
monotonicity table for functions (tableaux de variations et de signes)
automatically calculated from the expression of the function.

The Tablor extension has been written by :
Guillaume Connan (http://tehessin.tuxfamily.org/?page=41)
and is based on giac for the calculus
(by Bernard Parisse : http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~parisse/giac_fr.html)
and on tableauVariation.mp for metapost
(by Frédéric Mazoit : http://frederic.mazoit.free.fr/LaTeX_metapost/tableauVariations/).

First of all, you will have to install Giac, Tablor and tableauVariations as explicated on the giac website and in the Tablor documentation tablor.pdf (http://tehessin.tuxfamily.org/?page=41).
Then unzip the tablor.zip archive (that you can find here : http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/246467/Tablor/tablor.zip) in your ~/.TeXmacs/plugins folder.

A new Tablor session should be avalaible. Inside this session, a menu let you choose the kind of table you want. Here are some examples : http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/246467/Tablor/tableaux_de_variation.pdf.

Everything works fine for me and as been tested on Ubuntu 8.10.

Best regards.

Emmanuël
