Hi all,
First of all let me introduce myself: My name is Ignacio, I am studying
electrical engineering and I use TeXmacs for my university works and
nearly all my text processing. Previously I used LyX but when I found tm
I got really impressed: easy of use, confortable, great visual/print
quality and goodlooking (for me, a confortable and pleasant program is
important, even more important if I have to spend tons of hours typing
on it :)
As I am Spanish, I would like to offer my help to translate the docs
(as far as I know... all the menues are translated) into my language, so
if anyone is on the work please let me know how I can contribute (I do
not have much time... but I feel I have to do something for this
excellent piece of software :). I also have a basic/medium knowledge of
C and perl, so if I can help with this, I will be pleased to try it :)
Going into trouble, as wrote on the subject, I have problems with xfig
drawings when I import them in .fig format into tm. I thought that
better than 20 lines of text, an image of what happens would give more
info, so I put a screenshot with all the programs+messages in my web
site: www.terra.es/personal/iknatius/fig_problem.png
I am using Mandrake Linux 8.1, ghostscript 6.52, gv 3.5.8 and TeXmacs
1.0
Thanks in advance.
Ignacio
