I have just posted a very lengthy comment to the announce of latest LyX 
release on Linux Weekly News.

I have tried to be comprehensive, yet I could not possibly defuse all the 
possible FUD attacks without writing an entire book. So I hope that 
comment might be a good "TeXmacs advocacy" reading.

Also, LWN is not Slashdot, so please do NOT answer quickly to the FUD 
which will most probably appear in answer to that comment. We will have 
to answer it, but I would like us to discuss the anwers here before. That 
way we will be able to produce a few comprehensive and effective answers, 
thus preserving our reputation with the LWN editorial team and their high 
quality readership.
