the russian.hypen is loaded just when I try to open the file Help->Full manual->User manual....
I checked on a Suse Linux installation and there to it is loaded but obviously it doesn't crash opening this file
Thx Luca

In trying to debug Luca Tagliacozzo's segfault problem upon startup of TeXmacs-1.0.1.8, we found the following strange behavior:
When he looks at the messages of texmacs -d, he gets, like I do,
TeXmacs] Loading hyphen.us
but then, some font-loading lines later, also something I dont't get:
TeXmacs] Loading hyphen.russian
plus font-loading lines for some russian fonts. Shortly after this line, texmacs crashes.
I told him to remove his ~/.TeXmacs directory so no strange configurations would interfere with a virgin texmacs startup, but he still gets the hyphen.russian line.
Where can this come from? What environment variables or configurations not stored in ~/.TeXmacs/ would cause this?
