The new documentation on the document format I am currently writing[1]
includes an explanation of what are the different concrete syntaxes for
texmacs documents and how they relate the the abstract syntax, which is
considered the real "source" of the document. This new documentation is
currently only available via CVS on cvs.texmacs.org.
[1] when I am not refactoring Alain Herreman code or fixing critical
bugs in the typesetter, like the major performance issue with indented
paragraphs or the broken floats typesetting.
