Hi,

I don't know the programmer's team opinion, but mine is oposite of
yours.

You shurely _can_ create directories and files containing whitespaces,
but if you want to access them by using the shell you have to use
escaping or quote them - which makes no difference to the past and
"nowadays".

But you imply linux should behave like windows does, but it doesn't and
it won't ever, hopefully!

IMHO you should agree in using linux the linux way and so you shouldn't
create those directory/filenames anymore.
