I'm not familiar with the mechanics of the automount system, but it
would seem to be an automount bug to me that the directory doesn't get
automounted again when a program tries to save a file to it.

I wouldn't like TeXmacs to popup on me under any circumstances, but I
must admit I think that probably many users would want it.
