If I type the following three lines in a maxima session with wintexmax

a:3$
stringout(test,values)$
batch(test)$

wintexmacs responds with

    batching #pc:/wintexmacs/texmacs/plugins/maxima/bin/test

which seems to be OK - but apparently the maxima session freezes making
further input impossible (at the bottom of the windows it says:  generic
maxima program roman [10] busy).

Am I doing something wrong?
