I'd like to have a mode in which all multiple spaces are reduced to one
because I'm very familiar with this behaviour (LaTeX, HTML, ...) and am
always a little confused if my typed double space (marker for
sentence-ends in emacs, latex, etc.) is visible in the result, especially
if the second of the two spaces appears at the beginning of a new line :-/

PS: This message might reach you twice, sorry. My first version appeared
