Sorry for my late reply. You work is extremely interesting,
but I needed some time to test it.

It works for me, except that it uses the wrong freetype library
(so no fonts are visible). It is possible that this is a specific problem
of my computer though.

Which patches?

I don't see such a file.

If someone has such a system and is willing to test, that would be great.

I fear that one has to hack the TeXmacs sources for this one.

Notice also that the TeXmacs Starter menu disappears as soon as X is launched
on my system (it gets replaced by X).
