It has the same name on the Mac.

What the Mac does in addition is produce a Crash Log which gives 
information about the crash. This is to be found inside
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ and has a name like texmacs.crash.log (or 
a longer name on Mac OSX 10.5, but I think elo is still on 10.4). It 
would be interesting to see this crash log file.
