Following the bug report, to test, I ran this line as a scheme _expression_:

(tmfs-string->url "file/D:/Users/z3480510")

What I got was this line in the status bar of texmacs:

<url file>

Is this indicative of an active (i.e. not fixed) problem?

Yes.

You can manually fix it according to https://github.com/sadhen/dotTeXmacs/issues/6.

Notice:

where the file locates depends on where you install your TeXmacs. In my case:

D:/Application/TeXmacs/progs/kernel/texmacs/tm-file-system.scm
