One document in two windows typically crashes for me, so I no longer do it.

But still I see that nothing will be better than texmacs in the short term. I came from Lyx, and while editing large documents is much faster, it will never be as good as TexMacs.

I just love the intelligent-document model of TexMacs where the document is really a program that controls it's own data and it's own rendering.

If this bug completely blocks you in your work (how is that even possible?), I suggest you compile from the latest svn sources, or maybe from the commit fixing the bug. It shouldn't take more than half an hour. Remember to start TeXmacs the first time with --setup.

http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?42862 does not appear to be fixed (even in SVN) accordingly the bug page :-(

Shall I believe what the bug page says (that it is not yet fixed)?

I have already asked this question, but received no answer:

When to expect the next release of TeXmacs?

The bugs, when editing the same document simultaneously in two TeXmacs windows, effectively prevent my work on my book.

Shall I wait or rewrite my book in LaTeX?

Maybe should I use Lyx or KLyx? I haven't used this software for a long time and am not sure whether it good enough for writing a book. Any comments on Lyx?

Again: When to expect the next release of TeXmacs?
