Excellent, Giovanni! TeXmacs version 2.1.5 is fantastic. I have a problem, not with its functionality, but I want to put the new TeXmacs icon on my desktop, and I can't find the installation directory. Could you please tell me the directory where TeXmacs version 2.1 is hosted and installed? Thank you very much.

Thanks Liza,

it worked and it is very nice.

I got the impression that I had to instruct Ubuntu to pick the TeXmacs repository version instead of the Ubuntu repository version, as it was considering the 2.1.4 in the Ubuntu repo as newer, so I did it by asking an LLM.

I am not confident though, that all steps I did were logical and that it could not have worked in a simpler way. But maybe this is an issue to consider as well.

Hello everyone,

The apt issue on recent Ubuntu/Debian versions has been fixed. You can simply re-run the commands from https://www.texmacs.org/tmweb/download/linux-repos.en.html to resolve it.

Best regards,

Liza

This said, on running apt-get update after adding the repository in Ubuntu I get

Any idea of what to do?

Hello everyone,

We are pleased to announce the release of TeXmacs version 2.1.5

This version uses Qt6 by default, supports very high-definition displays, and introduces new ongoing collaborative editing features. On Windows, TeXmacs is now available on the Microsoft Store. On Linux, we have a new Qt6 AppImage that maximizes compatibility with Linux distributions. On Mac, we have new universal packages.

Happy writing with TeXmacs!
