I don't know, but you could take a look at the Maxima plugin, which is 
able to insert plots into the document using the custom tm_plot2d---and 
others, named according to the same pattern---functions. Looking at the 
way the Python plugin inserts figures into the document might help too 
perhaps.

The activity of all of these exchange nodes is somewhat low at the 
moment and it has been low for the past year or so. I think some more 
activity would be beneficial: users that support other users help the 
program to succeed, which in turn helps everyone---I hope that this will 
be so.
