Hello David,

See http://ddaa10.free.fr/texmacs/doc/savannah_cvs.html for my
personal notes on using CVS.
I've just read it. Thanks. It's a little beyond my skills at the moment.
I need more explanations on how to work as I don't want to make a disaster. So here is an example, tell me where it is wrong or not.
I have the downloaded cvs in ~/software.
1 - I load ~/software/texmacs-doc/main/start/man-getting-started.en.tm within texmacs.
2 - I save it under ~/Documents/texmacsdoc/main/start/man-getting-started.en.tm and under
~/Documents/texmacsdoc/main/start/man-getting-started.fr.tm
~/Documents/texmacsdoc/ is a directory where I've reproduced the same hierarchy as software/texmacs-doc/, so that I have the English file I use at translation time and the French file once translated (for the day I understand how to use diff :-)
3 - I translate ~/Documents/texmacsdoc/main/start/man-getting-started.fr.tm .
4 - I save it again after completing translation
5 - That is when things become unclear
6 - I save ~/Documents/texmacsdoc/main/start/man-getting-started.fr.tm under ~/software/texmacs-doc/main/start/man-getting-started.fr.tm ?
8 - I enter this in a Terminal window as stated in David's stepthrough Savannah CVS page:
bash (my shell is tcsh)
export CVS-RSH=ssh
cvs -z3 -d myadress/webcvs commit
but the file is not added to the source repository. It is a new file, so I guess the procedure must be different. Maybe add instead of commit?
Check out works fine.
Help please,
Michèle
