Probelm with Texmacs

I've just installed TeXMacs under Linux (Suse 8.1). The problem is
that when TeXMacs is launched everything is ok except that I can't
type anything. It just stands over there, everything is ready, but the
situation is like that there is no keyboard at all. (The rest of
hardware/software is working perfectly).

What can I do?
