I would say that a bit of advocacy will suffice.
If your favourite distribution doesn't come with TeXmacs you just ask the
producers to ship it with the next release. Also mentioning TeXmacs in a
conversation about writing scientific papers can help creating a broader
userbase.

What do you exactly mean with integrated?
My girlfriend (computer-illiterate) uses KDE as her desktop environment and
it's no problem for her to use Open Office or AMSN, programs with completely
different UI's.
