In this case, wouldn't it be the easiest way for you to close this topic
once and for all, if you could convince him to use wxWindows for his port?
This would give TeXmacs a native look on Windows, Unix (motif/gtk/gtk2),
MacOS, MacOS X (carbon) with a single effort.
