Another way, though probably more invasive,  to fix that is to do

sudo ln -s /bin/bash /bin/sh
(This is what I did in my system)

or 
sudo dpkg-reconfigure dash

In fact, whenever you encounter a sh at the first line, you try with the
bash change. It's brutal, but it worked for me.

You have to change the fig2ps file in the same way : sh --> bash
