Dear Philippe and Miguel,

Thank you for the reply. The third-party compiled x64 version (https://github.com/slowphil/mingw-w64-texmacs/releases/latest) works fine!

A note for those who may want to try the automatic tool (https://github.com/slowphil/texmacs-win-builder/releases/latest):
it seems that it does need some adjustment and I'm no lucky with it.
Just use the compiled one provided!

Yours sincerely,
Fred

I recently compiled the latest texmacs under the Windows Subsystem for Linux, no cygwin required. Just apt-get install as in any Ubuntu install.

TeXmacs' configure stops while looking for the Qt libraries, though, as happens under Linux. I can't check anymore but out of the top of my head, I think the issue was the autotroll ac script not finding the proper path for make.

OK, that was rather cryptic... sorry.  Just check the configure.log etc.

Good luck!

Dear Fred,

I suggest you'd try this version which reportedly works fine :
https://github.com/slowphil/mingw-w64-texmacs/releases/latest

You can also try to build your own TeXmacs for windows using this fully
automated tool:
https://github.com/slowphil/texmacs-win-builder/releases/latest

However some changes were recently made in the sources and I'm afraid they'll
require some adjustment in the build process (but I have no time to do that
right now).

Best
Philippe
