Hi,

Paul, did you try unetbootin
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
?

With the new ubuntu, you can easily build your usb distro with
persistant mode : when you do changes on your usbkey, the next time you
use it, the changes are still there. It could be files on your desktop
or new installed packages.

I am not sure wether unetbootin you can have persistent mode.

The livetexmacs key does what you want and is lighter than ubuntu (and
easier than building a similar debian config)

Vincent, i do agree with you that geogebra is a must have : every math
teachers use this software in France now.

Regards

Marc
