I'm using TeXmacs as my primary text editor but I have some "heredated
content" from other editors, most of it is from LyX, so I'm now using
LaTeX as a transport markup between LyX and TeXmacs and trying to modify
manually the not well transported code and in that way I can have the
same original document in LyX (in the visual sense) but with all the new
caracteristics from TeXmacs, like interactive CAS sessions instead of
"cut and paste" code (wich I have on LyX documents).

Still I need understand the markup of LaTeX and the markup of TeXmacs to
made the manual changes. I will try to make some post on the list about
the changes made manually in that way some other users with the same
problem can take account of them and may be it can serve to the
developers in some way.

As far as I can get familiarity with both markups I will try to see the
"progs/convert/tmtex" and try to put hands on it.

Because of the characteristics that TeXmacs have and LyX/LaTeX dont (for
example interactive CAS) I hope that this will be a non way back
conversion, so the problem with type1 pdf generation needs to be solved.
At this moment I have no enough knowledge to get into the problem in
other way that exporting as LaTeX and then changing the markup manually.
I hope I can help also with that but I surely will need time (to learn
Scheme and deal with C) and may be the help of experienced developer.

Cheers,

Offray
