I highly suggest that you realize this is a volunteer project. I personally have many other things on the go that pay my bills that I must take care of before I can devote any time to TeXmacs. Perhaps we could devote more time to this project if more people who use the software and obtain support from these mailing lists decided to donate.........I have seen some generous donations from a couple sponsors...but no support at all from the average user of this program. Correct me if I am wrong Joris......

I think the first impression of new user for any application system is
very crucial. You should not expect the user is happy to stay with you
and reluctant to spend a lot of time on your system after very
disapointmenting attempts only for the simple installation.

For the marketing point of view, I strongly recommend developing team
to improve their installation package and improve the contents of the
software's manual and FAQ.

Anyway, I should say the very good response and helpness from this
mail list. I do have receive the good response and useful help from
this community.

Thanks all of you.

You are right Jack :

i tried myself to uninstall everything and then to install first MikTeX, and
second WinTeXmacs, but it never worked.

The important point was to remove the folder called ".texmacs", and i didn't
know that. Now everything is fine and i must say that i am very happy to have a
complete WinTeXmacs distribution !

So, i ask to the TeXmacs team : << please, put this information in the manual, or in the
"texmacs.org website", or somewhere else >>. And if this is already made, shame on
me, i must confess that i didn't get it !!

Thank you Ansari, thank you address@hidden and thank you "texmacs team",

On the other hand, the primary source of information for these kinds
of tricks is this very mailing list. Thus without even noticing it,
you solved the first part of this "information missing" problem !

This being said, perhaps should we have a "trick" page containing the well
known (and infamous) useful tricks (removing the .TeXmacs is definitely
one of those...).

Best, Henri
