Unfortunately, I cannot test on other machines besides my own ones.
Could you please tell me:

1) What is the first version which does not work
(I assume that 1.0.6 does work)?
2) Does the TeXmacs window show up, even briefly?
3) If so, could you try to not boot parts of the Scheme
(comment out lines in init-texmacs.scm, starting with
the remote stuff and linking stuff, and try to find out
who is responsable for the crash)?
