Yes, that would be best. Maybe the nullsoft installer is able to build
a self-extracting executable based on bzip2 (cf. previous mail by Andreas).

As a proof of concept I've made such an self-extracting binary with the Nullsoft installer:

It's size is 9.980KB (LZMA compression), compared with 11.993KB of the .rar file.

On top of that:
- It lets the user select an installation directory
- Makes an WinTeXmacs start menu entry
- Makes an WinTeXmacs Link on the Desktop
- Opens a Window which contains the start menu folder of TeXmacs (redundand as I just realize, since I've added that desktop link)
